Our fixed term savings maturity funds have landed in our Santander account!!!
It only matured today, was not expecting the money until tomorrow.
😁How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)2 -

£40k Premium Bonds bought.
Cash Management accounts with Fidelity topped up (to pay platform fees without selling units) - 6 months worth - £240
Club Lloyds maxed out to £5,000
£12k moved to Marcus
£100 to Joint TSB for real emergency cash.
Healthy balance left in Santander, for now.
Then when DH's first pension pay-out hits later in the month, that will be being invested, once we've worked out how much we need to keep back until next April, when his main pension will go into regular drawdown.
This will include a top-up net payment into his pension for the tax relief.
Now to crack open a beer and relax in the sunshine!!

Some good money shuffling going on there. I miss doing that as most of our money is now invested so rarely move lots of money around. Just the monthly shuffle to savings and personal spends accounts after our pensions hit the current account.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. I'm surprised you bought the premium bonds today as you've missed out on around 26 days of negligible interest 😁It's just my opinion and not advice.2

I didn't want to leave until later in the month in case we're busy/away and risk missing the cut off.
That's the thing with PBs though isn't it, the "gamble" between guaranteed interest and potential returns.
You're guaranteed to "lose" a months interest at least, between buying and the first eligible draw. I've just compounded that loss!!
Maybe I should go and lie down in a darkened room!!

My husband won £525 this month on premium bonds and I won £25. Not bad as we hold about £15k between us. Quite exciting get a text to say you have won, especially when you are out and can’t log in for a couple of hours to find out if it is the million you have won…..
Good timing actually as off to the Lakes tomorrow so will let him flash the cash!!!
Just been for a 3 mile run in the woods after a busy week in work, so looking forward to everyday being like a weekend.Money SPENDING Expert4
