Hello
Visiting the following destinations on a 14 day coach tour shortly, Berlin, Warsaw, Prague, Vienna and Budapest. Obviously the eurozone destinations pose no problem but will need cash for the non eurozones. As we will have to buy evening meals at these destinations plus lunches what suggestions do you have for the best place to get the best exchange rate. We will use the clarity credit card for most purchases but having some cash will be essential.
Thanks

If you do need cash, put your Clarity card in an ATM and take it out, declining any on-screen offer of 'Conversion'. You will not find any better exchange rate than your Clarity will give you (on the same day).Evolution, not revolution0

Wait until you need cash and withdraw using an ATM.0

I've just opened an account with https://www.starlingbank.com/ for this exact purpose.

Thanks but no wish to change either of my banks at the moment. Looking at the starling bank details it would appear that it's a no interest current account where my Santander 123 account pays 1.5% interest etc.0 -
There's no need to 'change banks', you can have as many as you like. Travel without more than one card available is also definitely unwise.. Starling is excellent for travel, costs nothing and easy to use, and does in fact even pay interest, although minimal.Evolution, not revolution0

I read that you are required to pay in a certain amount each month which is also required by my other two banks. I have another three credit cards plus two debit cards so not looking for any more as I only use one anyway which of course is "payed back in full"0 -

From recent experience of two of your destinations, Budapest (non-Eurozone) and Berlin (Eurozone) I think you're more likely to need cash in Eurozone Berlin than non-Eurozone-Budapest. Certainly came across more cash only establishments in Berlin last week than Budapest 12 months ago.0 -
