    Thank for the advice I've cancelled my dd and have already paid the minimum directly to the card. I'll need to call Halifax again to sort a reasonable payment going forward and of course if I manage to get extra as in overtime I'll pay extra.

    Try an eligibility checker to see if you could get a BT card.

    It would help to relieve the pressure, but if you can get one, don't come to rely on it.

    Why do you need to call them to sort a reasonable payment? You'll simply pay at least the minimum won't you? You don't need any payment arrangement. If you can't afford a tenner you really must be in a bad way.

    No, you should make at least the minimum payment by each due date.
