Because the mine is of interest to many people in the NE its got a lot of small private shareholders. The sort who usually lose money. But the dealbreaker for me is its sited in a National Park. Infrastructure is so poor, and Local Nimbys will put so many restrictions on it (like having to dig a 22 mile tunnel just to transport their product to the docks) I can't see it being able to compete with other countries where they can over-ride local opposition.
