Hi I am currently with BT who are putting prices up.
I am in a contract for tv and broadband contract ends in Jan.
Virgin has been installed this week on our street so is now another option
Would you stay with BT until Jan then switch everything and potentially get a better deal or go somewhere for tv now and switch broadband in Jan?
Thanks for advice

Not sure why you're thinking of switching TV now when your contract ends in January.
With Virgin, you get a better deal if you take out a package rather than just one service on it's own.0 -

You can only get out of TV now .
VM probably dont do TV without BB etc so you would be paying both BT and VM for line and BB .
Tell BT you want to cancel TV and they may well offer a deal .
Or cancel BT TV now sign up to VM and pay off BT contracts remaining months .0 -
Wait 5 or 6 months, when you've entered the last month of the contract phone them and either cancel or see what offers BT have. if no success with them then sign up with Virgin. No point in paying off the last 6 months if everything's working.0

If they put their prices up above inflation the regulator will look unfavourably on them even if you're in a contract, BT tried to make out I was on a contract in 2016, I had been with them since 2011 and their increase was just above inflation, minus the VAT, I had to use ceo mail to get the £216 charge scrapped so if you leave in the contract period and they increase the price of inflation then exercise your right to leave without penalty, I did.Someone please tell me what money is0
