Remember, it may be difficult to obtain credit during that six years.0

"Thanks, so it probably won't make a huge difference if I wait a couple of months to think about it properly."
absolutely not .... you really need to read up the sections that you have been pointed at!
To overturn a CCJ , you need to act quickly after finding that you have one. Waiting to long will scupper any such action

Oh ok. I got about half way through reading all the threads last night. I'll catch up tonight. It all looks so complicated and stressful.

You say you want this ccj removing
The only way to get it removed is to get it set aside.
There is only one thread and one post in that thread you need to be concentrating on at this stage!
See the newbies FAQ thread near the top of the forum
#2 there tells you all about getting a set aside (scroll down post #2 towards the bottom of it)
The most stressful thing is forking out the court fee! £255
But if you win any subsequent court case over the original claim then you not only don't have to pay the original judgement of £315 (which sounds like 2 parking charges) you should also get back your £255 set aside fee.0 -
Yes it does ..... after a few readings the court section and CCJ overturn starts to make a lot better sense for newbies ...
good luck
