Poppy12345

Those of you who are regulars on this forum will have no doubt come across Poppy12345 who gives excellent advice, taking her time to help many people over time, she is without doubt one of the most knowledgeable benefits advisors we have.
For some unknown reason over the weekend her ip address was blocked by MSE, she has not been PPR'D and can infact still access mse using her 4g mobile, but has difficulty using the smaller screen.
She has told me that over the last couple of days she has sent messages to try and get MSE to sort out the problem but has so far been ignored, I offered to post this hoping mse will see it and or that others might contact mse on her behalf.
There are a small number of posters on here that really know their stuff Poppy12345 being one of them and she would be sorely missed by many.
So come on MSE sort this out please...

If the IP address has changed, it might be that it happens to be same as one that was previously blocked. So not related to any issue with Poppy.

Can Poppy change her IP address ? This might resolve the problem. I bet they can log on from someone elses computer with a different IP add which will prove it is whatever the IP address is currently.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.
  • Turning off the router last night didn't change the IP address, its the idea that mse fail to respond to a request for help from a poster who gives so much help that annoys me.

Hmm is there a technical solution like a free VPN. Does seem odd.

Have you looked on site feedback - fairly sure this is a recurring technical issue.

ETA - anything to do with this?

This happened to me a while ago too. It then seemed reset and after a password change, I got back in. Poppy does know her stuff and is a real asset

IP numbers are generally assigned to the router by your internet service provider (ISP)

    Hi,

Sorry, I disagree. I have sent 3 emails to you and all I have had back is an automated email for each one. I have not received any other reply. I still can not log in to my account using that IP address because I still have the banned message. I’m currently still using my 4g to access my account.

Some help will be appreciated please, otherwise I will have no other option but to leave the forum. Thank you.

Replies have been sent to all your tickets - if you haven't received them please check your spam folders and if they are not in there you may need to contact your mail provider to see why they are not coming through.
