Had a Beko fridge and freezer living in an unheated garage for the last 11 years without problems. Both still work properly

Some Beko appliances are rated quite highly by Which? in their price bracket. The brands that seem to score highly with the majority of their products are the pricier ones (eg. Dyson, Bosch).

We had a Bekonwashing machine that lasted 20 months.

Tried to get a goodwill repair without luck. A replacement motor was £155, so I chucked it away and bought a new machine.

Beko wouldn't be my first choice.

My previous washing machine, a Hotpoint, has recently given up after 7 years. On looking to replace it, I considered a Beko but both my local white goods shop, member of the Euronics group, and the washer repair guy both said to go for something better if I could afford it. I opted for a Bosch washer which was £100 more than the Beko, Indesit, Hotpoint range and paid £360 for it which was more than I'd budgeted for but thought I'd go for it as I've always had the "cheaper" ones which never seem to last.
I can now see why it was more expensive as it's built so much better and is more solid. e.g. the fins in the drum are metal and integrated in the drum rather than the plastic ones that clip in. The guarantee is better too. Am really pleased with it so far.
I'm hoping it will last a bit longer than the 7 year norm (if you're lucky) but time will tell.

we have a Beko freezer that we use for our dogs food (raw fed dogs) that we got from my parents, its over ten years old and has been moved to 5 different houses in its lifetime, still going strong, there only thing we've had to replace is a couple of drawer fronts (£9 each! not bad for 12 years use)

We bought a Beko condenser dryer when we bought our firs house Aug last year and it works well, no issues at all, we did go for the Samsung eco bubble washing machine, I couldn't find a Beko that was big enough, did what I wanted and good reviews at the time (trust me I shopped around for months)

When our second hand fridge freezer started leaking after moving in we bought a Beko, the only reason being it fitted in the space left in the utility from the old fridge freezer and the others didn't!

I wouldn't say Beko are "cheap and nasty", made to a budget yes but they're generally pretty good if you're after something on a budget. Yes, you could spend 5 times as much on appliance from Miele but would it give you five times the life.

Beko make appliances which are then labelled for other brands. To be honest, it's close to impossible to know who makes what these days as even the 'big brands' often have their stuff made by third parties.
  • Mixed bag for me. Had a Beko fan oven that lasted about 4 years before conking out, replaced with an Indesit electric (non fan) oven that's been fine for 2 years.

A Beko washer replaced a 3 year old Hotpoint washer dryer that broke down & the Beko seems to be going strong 3 years on, never had any problems. I do live alone so it only gets used once or twice a week.

Fridge/freezer is an Indesit that's been nothing but perfect since I first bought it 6 years ago.

If the washer & oven both conk out again in the next 3 years then I probably will go up in price/brand when replacing them. As a FTB 6 years ago, I had to buy all appliances from new so wasn't able to splash out. Now, I would consider it (unless they all broke at the same time....)

In our case we bought a Beko because it was by far and away the largest capacity washer-drier for a reasonable price (it cost £400 and nothing came close capacity-wise for less that £1,000).

We had an out-of-warranty breakdown which was dealt with well by Beko (they supplied the part foc and we paid £40 labour for fitting).

The repair guy advised us the machine was actually made by Panasonic.
