Beko appliances

Just wondering what your views are on these? I had always thought Beko was cheap and nasty - however when buying a freezer for outdoors, Beko were the only make that designed one suitable for outdoor use.

I was impressed with it so we later bought an undercounter fridge and a dishwasher from Beko.

The fridge lasted just over two years and the dishwasher less than that (currently being fixed under guarantee).

Our washing machine currently needs replacing and I was looking at the Samsung Ecobubble as it has a 5 year guarantee, but a couple of people have recommended Bekos at half the price!

I'm still planning to go Samsung - just wondering what others thought?

I have had no real issues, and almost all of my appliances are Beko.
All were purchased around 2012, and i have just had to change the washing machine.

We have some Beko appliances too. So far so good.
Fridge freezer must be ten years old. Has cost a hinge in the freezer so far.
Tumble drier is seven I think. No problems there.
Saw a site only yesterday where Beko were said to be the best budget machines.
As I've said before, I buy cheaper machines, and replace when anything serious goes wrong.

Generally a good experience for us with Beko, have a washing machine, dishwasher and fridge-freezer.

Dishwasher needed a small repair under warranty but still going strong after 7 or 8 years, no problems with fridge-freezer bought around the same time.

Original washing machine failed after 6 years I think, probably could have repaired but replaced with a newer Beko which has had no issues.

I was same as you, Beko to me were cheap and not for me. But I too had to buy their fridge freezer due to it going in the garage and it being the only make that would work in low temperatures and I think it is the best fridge freezer I've had.

Still would not buy anŷ other of their products. Lots more choice in the other white goods market.

Personally I'd never consider buying Beko, as like your initial thought I consider them a cheap low quality brand. I'd always go for something like Bosch or Samsung or Neff/Siemans if integrated. You might pay more but to me quality costs & if you have a problem then they are very quick to respond.

My neighbour had a Beko washing machine that bit the dust after a couple of years or so & she has replaced it with a Bosch.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

I wouldn't accept a 2 year fridge lifespan from any manufacturer.

My Beko fridge freezer (£250) seems much better built than Currys Cheapo (£150), which lasted just under 5 years.

So far so good, fingers crossed etc. I think like many originally cheap-and-nasty brands they've got their manufacturing sorted out and are now producing reasonably quality goods.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.

That's what I saw yesterday. Scroll down a bit for the Beko.

We've had a Beko washing machine and dryer for three years; no issues. It was a toss up for either end of the scale - £200 for a Beko with a years guarantee, or £600-1000 for a Miele with ten. Ended up getting the Beko because it hilariously had a timer function that I couldn't find on the Miele.

We've been married for over 40 years, and have had over ten years out of most electrical / electronic things.
The very first washer we had was an Indesit. That did about 15 years, although the door seals used to go every 3 or 4 years. The next one was the one that eventually went "smelly" (another thread) Two since then including this present one. Very little trouble with any of them.

Beko seem as good as any we've had.
