Kindle fire questions.

More help please. My new HD8 arrived today and I am trying to install the Kobo app but it keeps saying "no elligible devices for app instal"
Where do I go from here?

Have you loaded Google Play Store 1st?

Look on youtube for how to install google play and then get an ebook reader from there that can read the epub format.
I believe you can install the kobo app itself but you need to get its .APK file (as google sees the fire as a non compatible device) and then run that on the fire transfering it via usb or SD (you might be able to find it using the Silk browser already on the fire ,which is very fast and usable).
Kindle books are easy to read on there as the library shows all your kindle app books and you just click to open them on it.
Another way to see the books on there is via calibre on computer which should be able to allow you to save them out to micro SD card and then put in the kindle. IIRC you must open them on computer in their own apps (adobe digital editions or Kindle) before calibre can see them.
