Phone your credit card company & ask for their help.

    Thanks for the help :)

They're sending me a claim form and I hope I'll get the money back eventually, with or without the help of the retailer

Just a quick update - Barclaycard refunded the money in full after I disputed the claim and sent them printouts of email conversations with Berksha.

So, lesson in all of this is, always try and buy with your credit card if you can, because disputes can be quickly resolved later if there is a need.

Bear in mind that this was a chargeback ... there's still the possibility that the retailer may challenge it and the transaction may still be reversed.
