    An installation of a T-R-I-A-L version of Office 365 will have changed the 'open with' pointer for documents. How you apparently installed/ had installed an Office 365 trial is a question only you could answer.

    Don't be ridiculous.
    there is a blatant Office "advert" as such plonked on the Start Menu of Windows 10 but that would require an extra step before Office comes anywhere near the computer.
