Nuisance Car

What is it with this country and people thinking they have the right to dictate what other people keep on their driveway?
I keep a collection of older cars on mine, and have had nippy comments in the past from neighbours etc too.
I paid a lot of money for my house, if I want to keep a rustbucket on the drive I will do.
Thankfully, the law errs on the side of common sense and thus there's nothing you can do.
Also, how dare he legally park his other van on the street, as he is entitled to do!
Edit: Have just seen you only moved there a year ago, yet he's been there for at least 15. There's nothing worse than some NIMBY moving in up the road and dictating what they think other people around them should do.
It's not a nuisance (also it's not a car...), deal with it. Frankly you could have much worse to live with, half the people on here would give their first born for their biggest issue to be a neighbour with a scabby Transit on his own land.0 -

....
To be fair, I completely agree with you (not that i know what a nimby is)
It's just a case of if it annoys people daily and it makes no odds to the guy having it, then I'm all in favour of getting rid.
Once again, if he actually used it (even as spare storage space) it wouldn't even register, just seems like sheer disregard from him.
I could blare my music louder than I do, but don't for the sake of my neighbours. Simple common courtesy in my opinion. Just because there are bigger issues, doesn't mean smaller ones don't need sorting.0 -

not in my back yard0 -
check your deeds or lease for any ban on the keeping of commercial vehicles on the premises. if it applies to you it might well appear in the neighbour's deeds/lease also.0

Not your drive not your problem.0

Move house to a posher neighbourhood. It clearly bothers you that your neighbour doesn't have your standards so the solution is for you to move.0

If it lowers the tone of the neighbourhood you probably bought your house cheaper because of it. You should be thanking him.:money:0

I'd rather just buy the van off him :rotfl:
Personally believe it's just broke down and it's not been important enough to throw money at to fix and then ultimately move it.
His prerogative to keep it obviously just would be nice to see it gone0 -
