MSMoneyQuotes has stopped working for me

So it seems that MSMoneyQuotes is working fine, but MSN Money is unreliable. For example:
https://www.msn.com/en-gb/money/funddetails/GB-/fi-ap5nlh?symbol= hasn't updated for a few days.
https://www.msn.com/en-gb/money/stockdetails/lon-sson/fi-bn8y3m?symbol=SSON is priced in GBP rather than GBX.
I might explore the FT prices option.0 -
I've just downloaded and run V2.4 and it's getting prices for everything now, including the two unit trusts. Great!
But the prices for my two investment trusts are coming back as GBP rather than GBX. I've never had this problem before. What do I need to do in the SymbolMap file? I tried adding GBX in the third column but it didn't do anything.
Yes: ,GBX at the end of the affected stock lines. My ones work OK. One thing that may be relevent is that you need to close your editor before running MSMoneyQuotes otherwise it doesnt use SymbolMap. Just doing "SAVE" is not sufficient.0 -
Thanks, Linton. No, it doesn't work for me.
Just to be clear, I've got three columns for an affected stock in the csv file, like this:
GB00BGJWTR88 151.1.SSON.LON GBX0 -
Thanks, Linton. No, it doesn't work for me.

I have just tried SSON on my setup. Putting in GBX works fine, not putting in GBX makes in £s. So is there something basic wrong? eg:
1) Is your SymbolMap file properly set up as a comma separated variable file ie:
GB00BGJWTR88,151.1.SSON.LON,GBX
I suggest you look at it with Notepad rather than double clicking to pick up Excel.
2) Does GB00BJWT88 exactly correspond to the code you have used in Ms Money
3) Do you run MSMoneyQuotes with the -m flag?
If you look on the latest note from Gaiersoft you will see Dan is testing 2.5 which will include a proper fix to GBP.0 -
Another thought - I suggest you delete the old duff price using "update prices manually".0

Thanks again, Linton. I've checked everything, but Dan's third column 'currency override' feature just doesn't work for me. I was using V2.2 until the recent problems, so I never came across this new feature of V2.3.
Anyway, it only affects my two investment trusts, and I can adjust them by hand. Dan seems to be on top of things, and I look forward to V2.5, which should sort this 'GBp' problem out.0 -
Anyone know how to send a donation to Dan - e.g anyone know of say a PayPal.me account for him? If not I'll email him.
I bought the program years ago but given the time and effort he is putting in to fix things following MS latest changes, and given how useful his program is to me, I would like to send a further small donation in recognition of his effort.0
