Whether or not it has a number that's the same as your flat number is irrelevant.
Just to expand on this a bit, a lot of car parks deliberately don't match up the flat numbers and space numbers as this can potentially allow thieves to see who's in and who isn't.

    Hi all

So today I received my reply from the land registry.

Under "plan reference' it says not applicable.

under title number there is a six digit number preceded by letters LL

under registered estate or caution it says freehold.

I am therefore guessing that whoever owns the freehold for the parking space can be found by looking at the title number documented on the result?

If so, any ideas how I go about this next step?

    Thanks

Have you decided what you'll do when you find out who owns it?

I guess you could just do nothing until somebody tells you to stop parking in their space.

If you alert the owner that you're parking in their space, they may decide to stop you or charge you.

    I have considered that :D

But as I have been parking in it for over 3 years not seen another soul anywhere near it, I think it might be okay :j

The only assumption I can make is that it is still owned by the builders who built the estate.

Anyway, how to use this LL number... Any suggestions?

why not ask the land registry??? or is that too obvious?

you now know the title number, for that is patently what the number is

here is what the land registry says about title numbers:

I did ask the land registry... Well they are the ones that provided the LL number.

I assume I now use this number to pay for the deeds?????

Forgive me if I am being a simpleton here

Success... It is the developers who own the spot. Least I know that I can park in it.

    Great.
Least I know that I can park in it.

Cos I've had no problems parking in it for the last 4 years... I'm sure they won't mind!
