Why would you be looking for a "lawyer" rather than finding a retailer who will offer you a discount for buying multiple items?
And if you can afford to buy several laptops at a time, why are you not prepared to pay for legal advice?

Creating a new account to buy "several" laptops - good on Amazon protecting their sellers by double checking that you are absolutely genuine. And if you don't have the patience to prove it, or can't prove it, then they don't really need your business.

I'd have been more concerned if they HADN'T asked for evidence and then blocked your account when you didn't comply.

    Aye.

Most companies tend to get rather jumpy when a new customer immediately orders high value, easy to shift goods, especially when they're ordering multiples of them on their first order or a very short time after opening the account.

It is unfortunately one of the most common ways for fraudsters to convert a stolen card number into goods that can be sold on.
  • Undoubtedly if they had taken the order and shipped them, you'd have been complaining that they left them in your wheelie bin just before the bin men came and emptied it, and they won't refund you without a police report.
