Amazon have closed account after promising to ship goods.

Here.

I have ordered some laptops on amazon co uk. Billing address and delivery address matches.

I have received email saying order will be shipped soon.

Then account is blocked and they are asking for a debit card bank statement. Metro Bank does not issue statements with a 4 last digits of card on it, for security reasons.

I have sent a normal bank statement.

Plus now I have got a letter from a bank stating that I hold such and such account in the bank and I do have a debit card that ends in.

They also refused to charge card 1 gbp to check its validity.

Anyone knows the address of account specialists office? I would like to picket it with a placard and ask an employee or two why they attempt to mistreat customers.

Also by sending an email with a promise to supply Amazon already entered a contract as consideration can be a promise as far as promises are exchanged.

What is the wise option to find a pro bono lawyer?

    Good grief.

They have no obligation to do business with you.

As for picketing or engaging a lawyer, go ahead. You'll be wasting your time and money. This is a company that decides how much tax it will pay, do you really think they're going to be bothered by you and your silly complaint?

To be fair it's not the most ridiculous idea on here. Granted I can't recall one but I'm sure it isn't.

Lawyers offering their services for free generally look for good causes. And a case they might win.

That immediately made me think of Kirsty MacColl and the song "In these shoes?"

Its clearly been flagged as potential fraud. Not unreasonable of them to ask for more information.

They are not obliged to do business with you so you can flounce all you like about it. You need to follow their processes to rectify this, not try to suggest your own.

Why on gods green earth would a solicitor take this on as a pro bono case?? They're usually done for genuine good causes with a chance of winning. This is neither.

If you cant / wont provide them with the info, then move on.

Unfortunately, you don't yet have any contract with them. As stated in their Terms & Conditions:
We only accept your offer, and conclude the contract of sale for a product ordered by you, when we dispatch the product to you and send e-mail confirmation to you that we've dispatched the product to you (the "Dispatch Confirmation E-mail").

So until they dispatch the goods, all that has happened is that you have asked to buy them.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

"Some" would suggest that you have ordered 3+ laptops which, unless you are buying as a business, sounds incredibly unlikely for a personal purchase - leading to Amazon querying the validity of the order.

Why would you be looking for a "lawyer" rather than finding a retailer who will offer you a discount for buying multiple items?
