Porting & CPW

Hi there,
I want to order the Virgin sim card with 6 months contract and £90 cash-back and want to Port my number to this contract.

I want to ask:
Does porting of my number affect the cashback and do I port my number after I get the SIM by calling the virgin mobile (as with E2save) or is the porting done by CPW.

shouldnt affect cashback but usually (at least with e2save who are part of cpw they give you the option to give the pac when you originally sign so they should be aware the no is changing)

Thanks for the reply. I tried to order online and the site was saying that they cannot do it online and I have to call them on a 0870 number.#

Can I port after I get the sim by calling up Virgin Directly with my PAC

Anyway I will email them and see whether I can port after I get the sim

Mcgyver, no matter what those muppets at CPW tell you, you cannot port the number online. I did the virgin deal with cpw last week. Called them b4 i ordered online and was told by someone that you have to have your pac code on the point of ordering online. However, on ordering online, there was nothing asking me for a pac code or asking me about porting. Found out later that porting is done by calling virgin myself and not done by CPW.

I seriously hope it does not affect the cashback. I was not aware that porting would have this effect but CPW does anything to reject claims!

I emailed them this exact question this morning but so far, No Reply!
I would like to get something in writing saying that it doesn't affect Cashback. Otherwise, it may well be in the smallprint only after you sign up.
