Claim back monthly PCP payment from insurance

More than £200 a month difference between my car and the micra so money wise it’s a downgrade. Not complaining about the car itself. Work hard for my money, don’t like seeing it going to waste. Because if my age I could only get a 1litre car0

Perhaps then , you can see that the Micra would have given you equal driving pleasure whilst saving you over £200 a month of your hard earned money .0 -
You're not out any money from it though, providing the Micra does what you need it to. If you needed a bigger car because of kids or something then you should be leaning on the other party to provide a suitable car.
You're not going to get any PCP payments back because you still own the BMW.0 -
Hi, I was involved in a crash last month and it’s been almost a month now that my car has been in the garage and I have been using a courtesy car. Can I claim back the monthly payment for my pcp from my insurance as I haven’t had access to my car for the full month
There's no reason why any insurer should contribute to that.0 -
The insurers have to limit the losses and expenses - gone are the days when you could get a 911 for £1800 a day and pass the costs on to the third party insurers as a like for like temporary replacement courtesy car - although the commission to the broker was good at the time.
Send the Third Party Insurers an invoice is you feel that this is a legitimate loss, you may get something with your excess payment but I doubt it.0 -
I am going to buck the trend here as I agree with the OP
They are paying for something of which they have been deprived by the action of the third party (assuming TP is responsible rather than OP just thinking so)
As such this should be recoverable.Totally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy0 -

Well his legal cover can test this, although he will have a euphoria about his vehicle, it's a car of a size at the end of the day and he has been supplied with a car to keep him mobile, if he for instance had a large estate or saloon and was offered the Micra, then he has a more valid claim.0 -

I suppose when I hear BMW I automatically think large saloon car but yes if its a BMW 1 then Micra is not that much of a (size) step down.Totally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy0
