raw deal from vodaphone
A student friend of mine entered into a contract with a vodaphone outlet in glasgow and was tempted by the incentive of free internet access for the first month of the deal, as verbally stated by the salesman. Surprise, surprise, his first month's bill comes through and its for over £900, largely due to internet use.
He goes back to the outlet and the salesman categorically states that he specifically did not offer free internet as part of the deal. On cantacting vodaphone by e-mail to complain, they are willing to reduce the bill by 50%. What grounds does he have for holding out against vodaphone or should he just cave in and pay the 50%?

i take it he had nothing what so ever in writing?, maybe try the i want the cctv checked in store for what the sales guy said but reckon you got no chance. Always , always get things confirmed in writing ...........Worth a threat though failing that 50% is better than paying the lot.0

Thanks for your help Danuk.... I don't think he has anything in writing unfortunately!! I'll advise him to try the CCTV approach.0

long shot , but go down the lines of saying i am sure the store cameras would have what the sales guy said, then insist they check or remove the cost entirely......0
