Euro Car Parks / Debt Recovery Plus Ltd Car Parking Charge

I was issued a £90 car parking charge from Euro Car Parks ltd after parking my car at the gym and staying over the time limit by 42 minutes as I was working out (Feb 19). The gym have an iPad in the entrance to put your number plate in if you think you will go over the time allowed, however I did not realise this.
Since receiving the letter from Euro Car Parks (which was sent to an old address) a new debt company (Debt Recovery Plus) have taken over the charge, found my current address and the fine has now risen to £150. My occupation requires me to be away from home for long periods of time. I was not home for over a month whilst these letters were being sent, hence the parking charge price being risen.
I would really appreciate some advice on what I should do as I don’t believe I should pay for this because the gym allow you extra time anyway. My next payment expiration is the 19/06 before it is then increased/threatened with a court date.

Ignore drp who have not taken over any alleged debt. They are acting on behalf of ecp who still own the invoice
It's not a fine and never was and it's too late to appeal
Email a SAR to the DPO at ecp and add the correct address for service of papers
Read the newbies faq sticky thread as well
Post 2 deals with the SAR and court
Post 4 deals with debt collectors0 -
Have you read the newbies thread yet it explains all.
Debt Recovery Plus are scamming muppets they have not said this IS going to court have they they can't take you to court.
The charge not "fine" isn't £150 that has the extra scam fee added by DRP.
What did the gym say when you went back and told them they have failed in their duty to tell you about the the ipad and to get the scam charge cancelled?0 -
I phone them asking about the parking charges, and they just said to me that they do not have anything to do with it and I should appeal it if I don’t agree... not much help to be honest from them0

If it's their land it's their PPC unless it's a part of a larger site they lied to you they always do they may even get a £10 rake off for every successful PCN.
Tel them you will cancel your membership, with scam charges you can't afford it!0 -
Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so complain to your MP.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
DRP ????? You are talking about the biggest timewaster in the UK.
POWERLESS, STUPID, LIARS, SCAMMERS
IGNORE these down and outs

You do not owe £150.
All these money scammers can do is pass it back to the PPC.
If the PPC then goes down the legal route with this fake amount of £60, you zap them with ABUSE OF PROCESS
