I got a question regarding getting an advance payment ...

I am eligible to request an advance payment until 9th july and my first payment is due on 17th. If i request and get accepted for advance payment for full max amount and pay this back in 12 month, would this mean i wont get my initial payment on the 17th and will instead recieve it next month?

No you will get your normal payment minus the advance repayment, this will continue until the advance is paid back.

As long as your GP gives you a note you can apply. One thing though- literally everyone fails the assessment, even if they're at deaths door and unable to move so you'll have to appeal but almost everyone wins their appeal, it's just done in the hope a few will give up.

Not true i been on lcwra for 6 years first time I got awarded without a f2f I have only had one reassessment and got lcwra again,I have never had to do an MR or tribunal.

Thanks everyone for the great info!

I had my assessment last thursday for LCWRA face to face assessment. the decision maker told me i will get the decision in 4 to 8 weeks.

For those who went through this phase, how long did you wait to get your results? i provided my fit note 4 weeks ago now. I assume you dont get any backdate payments within the first 14 weeks or something?

It depends on the backlog in your area but there's no timescales.

Ring UC and request a copy of the assessment report to be sent to you, this will give you some idea what the decision is likely to be because they mostly go with the report.

If you're given LCWRA then there's a 3 month waiting period, which means you'll receive the extra £336 per month from the 4th month of your claim starting from when you sent your first fit note.

No extra money will be received if you're given LCW.

    Update:

So i recieved my outcome and got the following response:

"Following your work capability you have limited capability for work"

I will be put in a group. It also mentions the following

"Unless your circumstances change, you will continue to receive the same amount of Universal Credit that you're currently getting."

I wont be recieving additional money but can you guys tell me what to expect? What can i do and have there been anyone who appealed even though they have received LCW?

You are entitled to request a Mandatory Reconsideration (and then appeal if you wish) the decision to find you have a LCW but not LCWRA.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

You will be in Work Preparation regime and should be seen every 3 months, where they will discuss getting ready for work amd what training is on offer.

You won't currently be expected to look for work.

Lots of people request the Mandatory Reconsideration then appeal if they're not happy with the decision. You need to look at the descriptors for LCWRA before deciding what to do because there's no point appealing if the descriptors don't apply to you.

There's also substantial risk, which is here. https://wcainfo.net/issues/substantial-risk-lcwra
