Good, the court have acknowledged the receipt of the defence and informed me that the claimant now have 28 days to either resolve the conflict or tell the court to proceed.0

They will proceed, so read bargepole's Court Procedures post about what happens when, linked in the NEWBIES thread under the red heading.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So far the claim has increased from £ 60 to £ 240. Now I am wondering how much more I would have to pay should I not win the case. Would I have to carry the claimants court costs as well?0
-
Just received a letter from Gladstones, informing me that they are going to proceed. They invite me to make a genuine payment proposal. They have also attached their completed Directions Questionnaire.0
-
Oh, and they have requested that the case shall be dealt with on the papers and without the need for an oral hearing.0
-
Just their normal bullying tactics
Await your own response from the,Court, and reject their hearing request!0 -
Or ismply download form N180, fill it in and send it off. Usual "special directions" cover letter, pointing out as an individual your choice of court comes first.0

Added to D1:
Would that be enough or should I also point out in the cover letter that my choice of court comes first? Iam confused here, because Gladstone invoke PD27 (2.4).The Defendant opposes the Claimant’s request for special directions, and requests that the case be listed for an oral hearing at the defendant’s home court, pursuant to CPR 26.2A(3)0 -
Yes but you know how to counter that, from the NEWBIES thread post by bargepole about Court Procedures. Your choice of court prevails.JonathanGd wrote: »Oh, and they have requested that the case shall be dealt with on the papers and without the need for an oral hearing.
And you know the costs are false, surely, and that it is not over £200? Are you really wondering about costs that are lies? If so, then you haven't read beamerguy's Abuse of Process thread properly.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
