What happens after your driving licence is revoked due to eyesight
I will be taking my motorcycle mod 2 test next week. My eyesight is good enough, but can struggle at times with certain lighting. So my question is if i were to fail the eyesight test on my mod 2, which would result in having my licence revoked, would i need to retake my car driving test, or would i just need to reapply?

If you failed the test and it was due to your eyesight leading to your license being revoked, then why wouldn't any subsequent test fail at the same point?0 -
Of course i would fail the mod 2, but would i need to retake my car driving test which i have already passed.0

According to https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/articles/driving-eyesight-requirements you will be asked to sign
a declaration to agree that you were unable to meet the eyesight requirement.
I would presume that would then mean you have to declare this to DVLA......#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3660 -
If i were to fail the eyesight test on my mod 2 i fail, but the dvla will revoke my licence because of it. The licence which has a passed car test on it. So the question is will i need to retake my car & bike test or when i reapply will the my car licence still be valid0

1. What makes you think your licence would be revoked?I will be taking my motorcycle mod 2 test next week. My eyesight is good enough, but can struggle at times with certain lighting. 2. If your eyesight is such that you think failing is possible, why don't you go to an optician?
3. If your eysight is such that you would fail, you are committing an offence by driving a car.0 -
No , if you a full car licence but it's revoked you need just to prove to the DVLA that you have remedied the eyesight problem . Will probably require documentation from a qualified opthalmic practitioner as opposed to a generic high Street shopEx forum ambassador

There's a useful test at http://www.vutest.com/seedrive/index-seedrive.htm#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3660

That link applies only in Northern Ireland - nothing to do with DVLA.According to https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/articles/driving-eyesight-requirements you will be asked to sign

[quote=[Deleted User];75932564]1. What makes you think your licence would be revoked?Look at your opening post again which license would be revoked? If you haven't passed the test then it can only be fair to assume your current license gets revoked.

If you fail to read the number plate your licence is revoked. I regularly attend the opticians which say my eye sight is good enough to drive. The trouble comes in certain lights and Number plates with MWPFGC for example. I passed the CBT eyesight test just last week.0
