We rent a flat and I use BT as my broadband provider. I am currently looking to move out of the flat due to split with partner, if we both need to move out do I still have to pay for a service I won't be using? not sure were i'll be moving but its possible that it may already have BT services like a phone and wifi.

You have a BT contract .( depends upon whose name the contract is in).
You will be required to pay the balance of the contracts remaining months .(how long is that ?)
Or move the BT service via BT to new address .
Contracts need paying even if you decide you dont want to use it .0 -
