Esa reassessment period

Hi all
How long has been the period of time after you were told you would be reassessed and you actually got the letter to call you up for the medical?
I’ve been told I would be reviewed in 12 months but somebody kindly posted on my other thread and said it’s just a guide.
Can anyone tell me how long they went over?
Thanks in advance

You could have just carried on with your other thread, rather than start another https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6014038/esa-contribution-based
As i advised on your other thread, it's just a guide and they can re-assess you anytime from 3 months.
The first time i went over by 2 years and the 2nd time by 1 year. I've only be re-assessed twice in 6.5 years. The last time i was re-assessed was October last year and i didn't even bother ringing to ask how long.0 -
I have been awarded 12 months twice but both times I got 3 years.0

Thanks for the reply.
Hard to believe isn’t it... when was that if you don’t mind me asking?
I’ve read about a huge backlog around 2016 so wondering if yours was part of that?
It’s just the not knowing isn’t it thinking everyday Is that envelope coming through the door today??0 -
Everyone is assessed at different times, someone may go years without one, yet someone else could be re-assessed in as little as 6 months. You really can't compare yourself to anyone else. Thanks for the reply.

The best advice i can give is make sure you have all your evidence ready for when that form does arrive, this way you're as prepared as you can be. Knowing the reasons why you were placed into the Support Group will also help.0 -
Thanks for the advice.
Can anyone else give indication between dates too?...0 -

I was awarded ESA Support group (after mandatory reconsideration) in approx April? 2014 with a recommendation that I was reassessed in twelve months.
To date I have not been contacted.
But, every claim is different and asking when others have been reassessed will not give you any indication of when you will be.0 -
Thanks.
No I understand that but I just wanted to get a feel for when people got called.
Before posting on this forum I was under the impression that if you were recommended for a 12 month review you were called back after that time.
You will note my original question was about whether you received the recall notice a little while before the date was up. The fact you could be called anytime from 3 months, and it appears the majority go far later than their review time really is news to me.0
