Canada uses the metric system. Distances on signposts are in kilometres, speed limits are in kilometres per hour, and petrol (gasoline) is sold by the litre. Products are sold in shops in metric units (grams, litres, etc).

In most cases, prices in hotels, shops and restaurants exclude sales tax. Petrol is an exception to this rule.

    Ok next question, when?

The weather in Ontario can change dramatically with the seasons. Spring can be pleasant, Summer can be be very hot and humd, Autum can be pleasant, whilst Winter can be brutal. If it is your first time I would avoid Nov to March.

If you plan on staying in the city public transport is very good, if you want to travel further out i.e Niagara Falls then extra planning is needed, self drive, train, bus.
