I placed an order online with what I thought was virgin megastores, it was a pre-order and should have been available yesterday. I got an email on Saturday telling me they had cancelled my order - no why, no explanation. This item is now for sale on their website, it says in stock.
I have phoned 3 times, emailed and nothing, no reply, put on hold forever....

Further to above, have checked my online account it does not say cancelled, says 'awaiting manual intervention' so I went to say no to0870 and got this number 020 87529000
Lady tried to put me through to same naff answer service, I told her not to and explained why - she took my details and said she would log a call and get them to answer my queries.... I wont hold my breath.... watch this space!DEBT FREE since 2011

Well..... got a phone call and email within the hour, so they did listen and were very apologetic.
Turns out if you place an order for an item of value (above £75) if you do put the same delivery and billing address the system automatically cancels it incase its fraud.
I can see this, but it would have been nice to be told that in either the initial ordering stage or in the email cancelling.

Don't you mean if you don't put the same delivery and billing address?
Far more likely to have a fraud issue on items posted to other than the billing address.====0 -

I placed an order with them last week Friday, for an item that was in stock and available to be delivered within 24 hours. The item is still showing as "In Progress" on my account and I have not received it either.
Today I finally get through to some miserable surly wretch who tells me that as I had put a space in my telephone number the system "failed to validate" :mad:
I asked the idiot when were they planning on telling me about that, and he reckoned it would be when they got round to it. When I told him that was not good enough and that the money had already left my accout he was very quick to point out that my account had been "pre-authorised" and not debited.
I told him it was the same difference. Either way I could not spend that money so they either release the order or cancel it.
He said "Ok" and hung up the phone.
I am fuming! :mad:
This is the first time I have ever used ths shoddy outfit and the last time I will EVER use them again.
So now I am still none the wiser as to whether or not the thing has been cancelled or is being sent. I have wasted time and effort waiting for well over 7 minutes for some unhelpful numbskull to pick up the phone and still fail to rectify the problem.
Anyone got an address I can complain to? I don't want the bog standard customer services email address. I hve written to them twice since Monday and got no response.0 -

Bunch of thieving cowboys this lot.
I have given them 3 days (i.e. end of business next Tue) to return my money or I will be taking them to small claims court.
