Kentish Dave. I’m not a “Wind up merchant” I like to gauge opinion and a perspectives on things.

I am genuinely puzzled why a lot of people on here are so proud to pay huge amounts of interest and charges to faceless corporations worth billions.

Ah so you’re one of those “better and holier than thou” people.

    Why should you do it?

Because that’s the way the world works. Get used to it.

You are confused why people are proud of having their word mean something and honour their obligations?

That’s the most “council” post I’ve ever read on here, and that’s really saying something.

If you are not a troll then I honestly feel very sorry for you and your family.

I’ll let you have the last word,

No ones asking you to pay it.

We've already paid it by virtue of the fact that you haven't. Those of us who do pay our required taxes subsidise the con-merchants and cheats who feel they are too good to pay into the state like the rest of us.

Surely they have to give a valid reason to the courts why it’s not been pursued before?

Happily I believe this is not the case. They might just leave it as a happy little surprise by taking it directly from your earnings. Do you own a property? If so, have you checked lately that there's not a charge been applied to the title? That's another option for them.

Yes I am a homeowner, only have about £300k equity in the house. Nothing dramatic but it’s ok.

After 6 years, that is the case - if they are going to enforce a ccj, they have to get specific permission from the court.

However, that doesn't stop them from enforcing in other ways.

The tax man doesn't need to be in a hurry. He knows he'll get his money out of you one day, one way or another. :-)
