To be quite honest, I wasn,t going to renew my sub anyway cos the mag has been late on numerous times (by the mag company). Yes it is cheaper to subscribe but is it worth all the stress!! I'm so sorry you've had trouble aswell!! Not good for the blood pressure is it!!!:eek:fedupconsumer wrote: »Indeed we made a formal complaint and as the damage was caused by a Employee of the royal mail they will pay for the letter box to be repaired. Its nto the first time we have had problems with him my fam member is disabled and cannot get to the door quickly neither can i for that matter. Our regular postie is amazing he knows us well and waits that extra minute and stops to have a natter which is nice makes you feel wanted so to speak. This postie treats people with distain every time.
Dont know how everyone else feels but the service from them is getting worse not better. Indeed Elle you have bought products and goods and to have them not delivered or manhandled nearly destroyed is not acceptable. In my case it was a signed Michael Palin book which would be worth 5 times its face value. If he had damaged the book i would be more livid.
Its costing you more money isn't it Elle having to buy single issues just because the royal mail cannot do their jobs properly.Sunday 23rd September 2007 I came to my senses and discovered fresh air!!:j
:hello: ELLO! :hello:0 -
our usual postman has been replaced and the amount of times I recieve mail for other addresses is amazing.
I think I should ring the sort office but might get poor postie in trouble.
They have a notice up in the p.o. beware of the dog at my address so maybe the new postie gets nervous and gives me other peoples mail.0 -
My experience over the years is that some postie's are brilliant and do everything to help regardless of whether they are chatty or not (they got a job to do afterall)
However, you get some who are complete idiots. The one we've had the worst problems with has always been postie's leaving our mail handing out the postbox. Complaining to the local depot manager is absolutely pointless as he said he would speak to these few that have done this. Then we go about a week or so and it starts again.
I don't care about junk mail but it was my credit cards, statements etc...you know all those things they know cause identity theft.
So it seems to be down those (like in any job) who do it well and those who would be rubbish no matter what job they do. Sadly, no one seems to have control of the bad ones when you complain.
I hope that whoeever delivers to those postie's does the same to them! I'm sure they would be up in arms then.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0 -
Little update for you the royal mail have apologised profusely to me and my family for the distress caused and from what I can gather the person involved may have lost his job as this was not the first instance of problems. Even a representative from the royal mail came to visit us which was fab.0
