Letter from O2 about an account I have not opened - possible ID Theft what actions should I take?

Hi
I received a letter from O2 to my Home Address stating that I have opened a contract with them and giving me a card with a mobile phone Number. It all looks very Legit.

The letter says that it is contract for an IPAD and data plan.

So far I have rang O2 customer service who say the mobile number does not exist.
To confirm that I have reported it to them I have messaged the O2 Face Book page who are passing the details onto their Fraud team and I am going to write a letter to them make sure they have it.

I have checked my bank accounts but cannot see any payments out that I dont recognise, but I will continue monitor them.

I am obviously concerned that I am the victim of Identity theft but am unsure how to proceed.

Any advice gratefully received.

Paul
