Actually it isn’t in working condition. Apple said it should be, but it is not.0

Half a cup of coffee of liquid in a space the size of an iPhone?
Physics be damned!0 -

Just quoting from your first post which is why I'm confused:
"The device, by the way, has no damage and is in complete working order."
So you're now saying it's actually not working at all? If you were physically instore and it wasn't working, how did their staff explain the fact that it's not coming on?
Please can we be helpful to the OP and quibbles about volume aside, if their phone isn't turning on but Apple are not being helpful, what redress to they have? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I don't think they have any redress. It's 20 months old and OP doesn't have any proof that the fault is inherent. The phone worked perfectly well for 18 months and although OP's account seems a bit contradictory about whether it's working now or not, it may be working still. I can only think that any liquid seeping from the case is related to the battery and OP would need to state that he's always used an official approved charger, has used and charged the phone according to the tolerances set out, etc. Even a hefty knock could have caused the problem. I can't see how he's going to get any redress unless there emerges a Samsung-style pattern of problems with that particular phone/battery type.0

So even thought you can see with your own eyes that even if the entire phone was empty and filled with liquid it still wouldn't contain even half a coffee cup's worth of fluid you still believe this :rotfl:0 -
Apparently so, though you must have large coffee cups.0

I’m just quoting what Apple advised me would be the case and the amount I believe discharged for the device.0

Sorry, I do believe I was referring to the past in that. It was in full working order before it happened, it won’t start up now. Apple in store opened the device up and said it should be fine. Sorry I needed to clarify that, should’ve made that clear beforehand.0

Thanks for the advice, I just wish there was something I can do or a health and safety law I could quote.0

It’s not a health and safety issue though, is it. You’ve had the trouble for a while and haven’t suffered any ill effects. In non-technical terms, the phone has worn out. It’s time to replace it. You should not expect it to last forever or for Apple to provide free replacements or similar for a lifetime.0
