iPhone 6 leaking battery acid

So around 2 months ago, my Apple iPhone 6 began leaking some form of, what I presume to be, battery acid or electro-lights. It is translucent and has a blue fluorescent hinge to the liquid. There was around half of a cup of coffee of liquid leaking from the bottom of the device and into the screen.
This first happened in October, after around a week of running around with Apple, they offered to have it repaired for free through a mail-in. They replaced the battery and the screen, free of charge, despite it being out of warranty, as they themselves said it was a leaking battery.
However, this time, they weren't as lenient. They seemed like they wanted to help me, but wanted £300 for a repair, please also bear in mind my nearest Apple Authorised Service Provider is an hour away and having bad experiences with them before, and multiple bad reviews, I decided not to go there. Apple said for anything to be done I need to take it to an ASP or Apple Store and the nearest Apple Store is 3 hours away in Cambridge, so today I took it to the London Convent Garden store, where they opened it up, said the battery was in 'perfect' condition and the device was 'safe to use'. I told them that I felt the device wasn't safe to use since it posed an immediate risk to my safety with it being the second time it's leaking fluid, but they reassured me I should be 'fine' using it. The reason I went there was to get a Genius Bar report, to take the Consumer Rights Act 2015 against the company I purchased it from (Carphone Warehouse), the device is 1 year and 8 months old. What I don't understand, that after the same issue is happening again, they won't repair it, and tell me it's 'safe to use' when it is leaking a liquid. The device, by the way, has no damage and is in complete working order.
I need advice on what I should do now, with it leaking a liquid, affecting the display, rendering the device useless, and with a Genius Bar report saying it's 'fine' when it clearly isn't. It's an immediate threat to my safety and they said it's fine, so far the worst it's done is be a skin irritant. I can't use consumer law as Apple said it's fine and they won't do it for free. What do I do? None of this is my fault, the device is clearly faulty...I've reached a dead end.
Any help would be appreciated.

Please just stick to one thread.0 -
Please can you clarify how it's working fine but rendered useless?
If it's working, it doesn't need a repair as such, but you would like a new battery?
Would that be cheaper than the £300 they want to look at it? Otherwise you're going to have to pay for an independent report to be able to take this any further. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
£300 is too expensive.
I would say try to sell your iphone 6 as it is still in working condition
Take it to CEX, you probably get £70
With £300, you probably able to get a used iphone 80 -
OP you are talking nonsense. Where is all this liquid leaking from? Phone batteries are not liquid filled and Apple say there is nothing wrong.0

If the entire phone was filled with liquid and nothing else it still wouldn't fill half a standard coffee cup :rotfl:
Lithium Ion batteries don't have acid in them, they will have a small amount of conductive fluid/gel but this is a very very minimal amount.0 -
Apple claims it should be working fine, but it isn’t. It’s useless. Apple’s Support Team says otherwise, and that the in-store team must be wrong.0

Apple has already advised me multiple times that the amount of liquid is between half a cup and a full cup of coffee0

The liquid is leaking from the bottom and going into the screen. Apples in store team said it should work fine despite it not turning on then, their support team said it isn’t.0
