Ive managed to put windows 10 on the laptop but cannot activate it with my product key, I understand you told me to go the other route , is it possible to activate this way or should I reinstal windows 7?

Sorry for late reply but it has taken a while etc

Just buy a licence via eBay.
    .
Anything else will just be too much for you.

Did you even manage to download the SONY image, even though I created a direct link for you?

I prepared a new direct link for you at the time. It's taken you until now to tell me that you didn't download it....and only because I asked you directly.

It is once again in your Inbox. Download it now and create an installation DVD by placing a blank DVD in the drive and then right clicking on the downloaded file and selecting Burn Disc Image

Let me know when that is done.

You don't need to be tech savvy. Just need to keep me informed, so that I can follow your progress and assist if need be.
I'm not assisting just one person at the time, so if you come back ten days later, I have no idea where you are and what you are doing.
Glad you got it solved in the end.

Pretty poor to make such pathetic excuses. If you don't want advice why ask? If you have someone trying quite hard to help and supplying you with files to overcome your problems then to go away for a couple of weeks and not answer is quite rude.
