Good strong envelope. The outer edges on the back are slanted and the flap is tucked under these. That it was sealed properly when mailed is shown by the self seal strip on the back which is partly removed, as happens when you open this sort of envelope and the sticky is on the flap side. No question, this was deliberately open and resealed. Why do it? well I had £30's worth of vouchers sent in an envelope just like this once.

Did any of you win the Morrison’s / Kellogg’s comp for Alton towers tickets? I also received an empty envelope but managed to work out that it was that. Not sure about the numbers on the front though.

Not PG Tips, mine arrived in an envelope that had Unilever on the sticker. But I have now had several pieces of mail that have been opened, some resealed with sellotape. They get put through the letterbox after the postie has been so it appears that my mail is going to someone nearby and they just open it regardless and then deliver it to the right address. One of the other envelopes that had been opened had my £5 Ikea voucher in it (only that needs to be claimed instore with the right 'family card')

Turns out it's not too hard to tell the difference between, not sealed properly and tampered with.

If you are a postie close to retirement age, you could risk the chance of a criminal record, if it meant keeping your pension pot:
  • I have also had an empty envelope with that code - what was in it?

I too received an empty envelope in the post this morning.
The flap was sealed down but looked like it had been tampered with.
The only marks on the Envelope were:-

    Postage Paid GB
    HQ68589

    04/324/34281/5045

No idea what has been taken

PG coupon arrived safely the other day.
and some concert tickets have yet to be sent.

These thefts are usually done in the sorting office,
    not by the delivery postie.
  • HQ68586 is a similar style envelope and was a free Persil sample. The gum is not very sticky and the quite heavy samples could have easily fallen out. So probably not a light-fingered postie but a poorly designed package perhaps?

Persil samples it is. I received them yesterday from same source.
Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing ;)
