  • Morning all. Was feeling decidedly fed up last night. We are skint, DS is in a permanent grump, DD doesn't seem to want to talk to me much (attitude at 7 years old, how?!) and I was doing chores until 10pm last night.

Got a new to us fridge yesterday, seems ok, let's see how long it lasts. Nothing really wrong in real terms just feeling quite ground day and fed up. The weather doesn't help.

I have just emptied the DW, tidied round a bit and now I will go and face the day. Have good ones all x

    Morning all.
It’s dark and miserable here as if it’s November not flaming June.
I’m at work again today as I needed tomorrow off for volunteering. As that will be outside, it could be fun.
DD is burning the candle at both ends ahead of today’s maths exam so she is grumpy.
I’ll change our bedding in a minute and it will have to queue for the wm. Jewellery sorting is a good one on the list - I have got rid of a lot over the past couple of years but definitely could do better. I just don’t think to wear any of it.

Right, off to face the wrath of the teenager before I take her to school. Have a good day everyone and keep as warm and dry as possible.

    Morning all.

I was first up this morning just before 6am but didn't shower as DS was about to go for one or so I thought. I got dressed as I was chilly, came downstairs made/had breakfast, did a wash load, listened to my audiobook for a while thinking DS was just pottering around as usual. He decided to get up and showered at 7am, so since I got a text saying my delivery could be here any time from 7.15am until 11.15am (I'm still waiting) my shower will have to wait until later now.

On the plus side, I got stuck in with work. Everything I can do before my delivery is here is done and the sides are clear ready to sort it out when it arrives. :D Definitely a chill in the air caused by the rain today so I've switched the heating to come on if the temperature drops below 18C as I'm going to be sat at my desk a lot and I can't really put any more layers on.

I think I'm going to go and do my dailies I haven't done upstairs/see what mess DS has left up there in. The kitchen was covered in cheese when I went out there from him making his breakfast and his dishes were all over the place so I've already cleared that up. I'll wash up after my lunch to save water :p I really wish this delivery would arrive as I'm itching to get it sorted and on with other things.

Not much done yesterday, nice day at home with both girls. A bit of shopping for DD1 and DD2 sorted most of the bits and bobs she wants to take away with her. She's off on a 3 month internship abroard at the end of the week.

So far today, WM and now in TD, DW on and I think I've just heard in beep for the end.
DD2's car taken for MOT (only found out on Sunday night that it had expired!), it passed, huge relief as she's going away in it.

Off to put another load in WM then coffee.

It’s actually stopped raining so I am going out now to get some fresh air for a bit!

    Back in a while x
  • Busy but nice day at work. Managed to cheer up two year 11 girls who came out of their Maths exam in tears. The pressure and the tight timeframe for exams this year is bonkers.

Dinner is on, and I have showered the children xx

Well done ASB on cheering up the littles. Horrible for them to have to go through exam misery at that age.

Grubby bits of carpet on the ground floor, stairs, office, landing and bedroom vacuumed, washing up cleared twice, DW unstacked, yet more dog-chicken cooked, dog walks x millions, secure dogwalking area visited for the first time, dog walker's house visited and final loose photograph sort completed.

Now to map out a rough lifetime event calendar to double-check when things happened, and then to fillet the existing muddled albums for the ones I want to keep. I sincerely hope I'm not done with chucking yet, although I've now found some nice sets of exteriors of houses we lived in and some interiors. They've been married up after being apart for 35 and 46 years so they now make sense. It's a start.
    Better is good enough.

    Hi again all

Tea cooked eaten and washing up done
Disposed of a frog this afternoon that has been on my list for ages, too, about 45 mins in the end. Felt a bit of a fool to be honest for putting it off for so long!
    Bins emptied.
Did a quick run round of top bedrooms and bottom floor with the handheld vac. We are having visitors on Saturday fairly early so I am making a special effort to stay on top of things this week.
Have also loaded some more stuff in to the car to take to charity shop in the morning. Working from home all this week so it should be easy for me to run a few errands in between.

Have a lovely evening all x

Just sat down with a cuppa. DW just finished so I’ll empty that in the morning. WM run earlier so washing is hanging indoors. I’ve just finished icing cakes for tomorrow’s volunteering so I’m sick of the sight of cake.
Slinky has had a battering today as willpower has been running on zero. Fed up as I thought that I might finally have been getting somewhere in a very small way.
Flying peaked at about 7.30 this morning. The intention was there but time has run away yet again. Maybe tomorrow...
    Narc0 - hope you’re ok x.
