leaving BT, out of contract, do I need to give 30d notice?

Hi all, numpty questions, I am looking at moving home phone and broadband away from BT. I am out of contract. Do I need to contact BT and give them notice, separately from signing up with someone else? Or can I just start the transfer process with a new provider (am thinking vodafone) and get them to sort it with BT, so the process is co-ordinated? I am also wanting to switch mobile (sim only) from BT to Vodafone, is it best to do this at a different time (before or after broadband switch?) or can I get everything done at once? TIA

Vodafone will manage the switch for you for the broadband. Ask BT for your PAC for the mobile side of things, then when you've signed up for Vodafone mobile give them the PAC.0

Ah, thank you! sounds like it is not going to be as complicated as I was imagining!0

You are not out of contract, just beyond the minimum term. Notice (usually 30 days) is still required.0
