    In that case it is as above, if item shows as dispatched you wait until 2nd July, then have to pay to return the item to whichever country item shipped from, at your own expense.

    All you can hope for now is thT item doesn't arrive before the 2nd July and you can get an INR open.

    Ok situation update
    (Only cos I hate people who don’t report outcome and I’m not a hypocrite)

    Seller has agreed to my cancellation and refunded. But no response to messages.

    Am I cynical in that he didn’t want a poor feedback?

    Nothing wrong with being a little cynical.

    You're probably right, it may be how they operate their business model and are prepared to deal with one or two orders as per how yours has been dealt with based on the view that the majority will accept as is.
