long delivery time

Hi

I ordered an item 30/5 from an ebay seller where the item is shown as being in manchester with 3 day delivery.

It is now shown as being delivered between 2/7 to 10/7.

I don't think that's acceptable, am I being unreasonable?

What it is showing now is irrelevant.

Go to your purchase history to see the due date for when you ordered.

If it is late, ask the seller for dispatch info.

That would have shown though before purchase, a seller can't change the delivery estimate once buyer pays.

The onlywayisup is correct, check the original purchase, if that shows a long delivery estimate then that's what was how the listing was set up, if it still shows 3 days then open an INR and let seller worry about how they are going to manage their drop shipping metrics.

It's a bit confusing, the purchase details say estimated 2/7

but order details say Delivery service Other Courier 3 days

either way not very happy about it.

A lot of sellers rely on buyers not looking at the postage options , it is quite possible that they do somewhere or other offer an enhanced service for a larger amount of money but the standard post is slow.

Is this is what is showing when you go to your purchase history (not to the item)?

That aside, it's not the courier service that you need to look at, it is the estimated delivery date.

I have "next day delivery" on mine, but if you order today it won't come tomorrow....likewise if I had "1 day delivery" but I only posted out every Friday then you won't get it for another week....the estimated delivery date will be what you need to see. And you need to see that on your purchase history NOT on the current listing.

"3 day delivery" means a delivery of 3 days from time of postage. In this case it sounds like they either don't have item in stock at time of purchase or are making it and it takes that long to do so.

Get in touch with the seller and/or Ebay and let them know it's too long to wait (if it is) and that you want to cancel the order.

I’ve posted a question to seller asking reason for delay, my bad not noticing delivery date. I had presumed that as it was in Manchester (Supposedly) then the delivery would be in a timely manner.

I look at where an item is delivered from to avoid delays shipping from China, lesson learned.

The item was a power supply unit for an obsolete av sender set. I had bought it last year but the original supplier didn’t supply both psu. I won a case for that got refunded and kept the item, so was looking for a cheap replacement which this supplier offered. If it’s coming from China I may cancel as it may be a cheap alternative.

Why ask to cancel, a seller can just refuse as it is an unreasonable request. A cancellation if accepted will mean you have to wait until you receive the item and then pay to return item.

Just open an INR, much easier, assuming you are past the last estimated delivery date.
