NO, they do not accept both on the same item/ transaction, and if they did, it was a mistake, you were lucky.

I have checked with the store manager, customer complaints / service department and even emailed the ceo !! and had this confirmed.

OK,Dunno why you feel so aggitated about this(or more worrying why you have gone to the extent you have to try and prove me wrong:rotfl:)
But anyway..looks like ive been "lucky" several times because-I DID for 2 years in a row use both discounts together,in different stores,at different towns,on different days.and mistake or no mistake I WILL try again next year-wish me luck;)

About three weeks ago, I used a '£5 off a £15 spend' voucher (Christmas gifts) as well as a 10% or 20% discount 'card', given to me when I previously made a purchase. I, too, was really surprised when both were accepted. Perhaps it was because I made my purchases on a Saturday, and the young assistant was not aware that both discounts should not be used together; however, if she had not been informed of this directive, and if the system had not been set up to reject additional discount codes, then WHS only have themselves to blame.

But I reiterate - I was allowed to use both vouchers, so guess I was lucky, too. :)

I tried to use both, and was refused by both the sales assistant and store manager, hence i pursued complaint with customer services / ceo who then confirmed that both cant be used at the same time, which of course happened 3 plus weeks ago and not confirmed for the benefit of cooking mama :)

As it stands, for the hassle and inconveniance etc... I got a much better deal anyway, so i am not at all negative, just simply pointing out the truth of it all, it is not at all negative or personal.
