Over 6 year old debt keeps updating

Options
I have a disputed debt from 2012, I thought it would be dropped off after six years,

But it still showing on my credit file and till keeps updating to this current month.

You can see the history that it has been there since 2012.

Should it not drop off by now?

Isn't it six years from the date of the default or the last payment received?

Yes the default was back 2012

No payments or anything since then

  • What date is the defaulted date showing as?

Is it showing across all 3 CRA's?

If the date of default was 2012, then the account should have been automatically removed from your credit file(s) sometime during 2018. I would raise a query with each of the CRAs that have the defaulted account still showing, so that they can remove it.

It show. Red D on every month, including last month.

    It’s definitely been over 6years

It’s as if they re constantly renewing it somehow

OK - but again, does it show on all 3 CRA's and what are they showing as the default/delinquent date?

As far as I can see it shows the default date as last month.

Every month it updates to the current month.

But you can see it was back in 2012 and a big red D on every single month with nothing happened since then

  • Although the answer given is still unclear, contact the CRA in question and ask them to update and remove the account

Which CRA are you looking at? It states the default date in the account data. What was the date of default?
