Really bro I go on a forum asking for help get none and a load of smug people replying and I'm meant to be greatful or something?

Nobody said you need to show any gratitude.

I also don't see any smug answers. I just see people actually trying to help. The fact they don't have first hand experience of this issue doesn't mean they aren't trying to help. It also doesn't mean they are being smug.

Post #6 is by someone who has direct experience and gives a none smug solution. It appears to be exactly the same solution as you have later found yourself however it seems you have been so busy throwing your toys out of the pram you have missed it.

    "Email uk@fedex.com"
Emails uk@fedex.com last night with my ref number explaining everything.

    Response this morning

    "Dear Customer,

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I do understand the inconvenience you have faced.

I will certainly look into this and help you track your package."

Thanks for your advice everything is resolved now.

Given you got that email address in post #6, how can you say you received no help here?

Hi i was being sarcastic as you can see from my post .My first post i removed so you can not see the details . I imported goods from the USA that should be zero rated Vat .I had 2 separate invoices one i paid and one i didn't (i didn't get the 2nd invoice till 3 months later). I later found out the goods should be zero rated .I contacted fedex which they ignored and passed the money i didn't pay to debt collectors .They wouldn't respond or refund my money i already paid .

I have been waiting 2/3 months for this to be resolved .HMRC can do nothing only Fedex but i'm being told here it's HMRC .I said it wasn't everyone goes against me .

Then you also message me with a childish throwing toys of the pram post if you are not here to help people on a help forum don't message them .It's not helpful to anyone .

Fedex (any carrier)dont dictate the tax due. Thats between you and HMRC.
HMRC were paid. Fedex paid what was due inc. fees as per HMRC.

Was the first invoice from Fedex?

I managed to get a manager on the phone on Friday morning and they said there brokerage team was already dealing with the case and i would get a response by the end of the day ,I didn't of course. At least after 3 months i got my first apology from Fedex.

Both invoices were from fedex they act as the clearance agent / broker etc. They charge a fee to handle this for the customers. Otherwise customers can get there goods left and the airport and the customer can use there own broker which the shipping fees work out cheaper but is more hassle unless dealing with Fedex.

Isn't that exactly what everyone has been saying?
