Phone scammers, how to deal with - any advice?

I have to endorse what people have said about the B T call blocker phones.We have had one 5 months and the only thing is entering the numbers of people you want to speak to .If there name doesn’t come up on the screen don’t answer a lot of them don’t get through any way.I think one got through but I didn’t answer it and then blocked it .
