I have a sim free iPhone se. It’s 18 months old now and the only real issue is the battery.

I have had it replaced by Apple in December for £25 and it was ok at first but now I can’t get through a day without switching it off whilst I’m at work and just use it for before work, lunch and after work and I get home about 7pm and it’s under 10%.

Now I don’t think it should be like that. I have bought a massive power bank which charges it quickly.

It has a few songs on the phone and the screen is not cracked at all.

So other than the battery there’s no issues. Would you get a new sim free phone or not.

Thank you.

I'd be booking a visit at Apple & explaining that since the new battery there are Issues.

A new battery shouldn't be giving grief within 7 months, even an Apple one!

Check bluetooth is turned off and other display settings are not set to maximum.......as if they are it will make a massive difference

Just to add the iphone se will get ios 13 later in the year so that might influence your decision

Blue tooth is off. I mainly use it for WhatsApp as texting and that drains it a lot. Surging this forum and Facebook. I’m deaf so a lot of it is written formats I use.

Also I know Apple won’t do anything as the battery will be out of warranty

Even if the phone is out of warranty now, you still paid the price for a new battery, they may have given you a dud battery. Take it back to Apple in the first instance.

I got a battery replacement done in December and my phone is like new. I've heard of others getting issues such as battery overheating and they've taken it back and had it swapped for free.

I echo the comments above about returning to Apple and finding out why a seven month old official battery isn't holding its charge.

If you go into Settings>Battery what does it say under 'Battery Health' and which apps are being most?

My SE is 3 years old, still has the original battery and gets hammered and charged every day. The “battery health” shows 80%, which isn’t bad considering the use/abuse it gets.

Web browsing is the use that eats battery power for me.
