Incorrect defaults on credit report

Options
Hi all,

Have recently applied for a mortgage, AiP was approved but full application declined. I was on a DMP for several years and all defaults have been removed from my file as they are over 6 years old. However 1 of my creditors has been registering a default every month for the last 8 years even though they were in the DMP and received payment every month. This only appears on my Call Credit credit report, There is no mention of it on my Experian or ClearScore reports.

I don’t believe they should have been doing this and all defaults should be removed, am I right in thinking this?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Are you sure the account is defaulted and not just being reported as late payment markers every month? Can you take a screenshot please?

If it is defaulted and is dated from 2013 or earlier then yes it should have been removed.

    Thanks CA,

Can’t post screenshot for some reason but it is definitely in default even though you can clearly see from the balance history that payments are being made.
  • If the account is in arrears then the default markers are correct even if payments are being made.
  • Thanks Gary,

Even if payments were being made in accordance with agreed DMP? I had several creditors on the DMP and only this particular account shows as defaulted.

    Thanks again
  • Yea correct.

It’s at their discretion if they want to remove the defaults.

You can ask but they’re not obliged to do it
