17/12 It'sraining christmas presents on Ipoints

Well I have just noticed that all the 2000 and 3000 points scores have vanished! :rolleyes:

The highest score is now 1872, though even that sounds rather inflated! Though I suppose there could have been a flurry of ipoints time bonus pressies!

The highest I have ever scored is 264, and I was rather irked to think that people were cheating - I am glad that ipoints think so too. :beer:

But like you say, the 1872 still sounds very high for the type of game it is. I tried and it's not exactly an easy game, so to still get that many points, for me, sounds like cheating still.

I feel all deflated now after posting my first comp as was supposed to be fun and not annoy everyone as it seems to have.
I have emailed Ipoints about the cheats and am currently awaiting a reply from them, when I recieve it or if I recieve it I will let you all know what they say.

Nope, it's not your first post that's got us up in arms! Keep posting! :beer:
It's the site that's the problem. It's a good game but needs more control and they must know what the maximum score could be unless no one actually tried it before putting on their page!

Don't worry sweetie! I still like playing the game even though I am becoming allergic to the Jingle Bells tune! I am convinced that I am going to have a hitherto unseen run of ipoints time bonus pressies!

Please let us know what ipoints have to say about the alarmingly high scores! :eek:

Yeah, it's a good post it's just ipoints site! I love that game but I have tried everything to turn the music off lol Keep posting

It is reasonable that some one with lots of time to spare can reach thousands of points, i currently have 900 odd and 500 days left till christmas....there is a nack to it

As many of you on this forum are well aware, there has recently been a significant amount of fraudulent activity relating to the top scores on the “shop till you drop” game.

We are well aware of which results that have been created fraudulently and these will be removed from the final score list.

Unfortunately in the interest of maintaining the security of the scoring system we have had to remove the scoreboard from the site.

However rest assured we will maintain the spirit of fun and competition and the game, along with the prizes for the top three scorers will continue.
