Birmingham Just park & Fly - Damage & fuel theft

Hello,
My boyfriend flew from Birmingham airport at the weekend and booked a meet & greet parking with Just Park & Fly through Looking4Parking for our car. I personally avoid meet & greets so he's getting lots of 'I told you so's' :)
When they have dropped the car back off for him to pick up on Monday there was damage to both the front & back passenger side alloys. He did not take picture of the alloys when dropped off but you can see from the photos that they are fresh marks.
Also there was an addition 70miles on the clock even though they would only have needed about 10ish miles max to get to/from their depot.
Also from the pictures the fuel left in tank milage was 264 when collected & only 24 left when dropped off. Now I know these aren't 100% accurate but they certainly are not nearly 200 miles out so my partner believes that they have syphoned diesel out of the car also.
The person who dropped it off just walked off and said it was nothing to do with him and even though my partner asked for some paperwork to sign to confirm the damage he just ignored him and left. It states in Just Park & Fly's T&C's that
No damage claims will be entertained unless it is brought to the attention of our representative upon collection of the vehicle at the time of return for which a written and signed notification is given to you before you leave the airport.
We have called customer services numerous times but no one answers, I have emailed and included the pictures attached but no one has replied.
So we're looking for advice on the next steps?? I am very doubtful we will get anything back from them but surely there is someone we can complain to?? We cannot be the only people this has happened to. Any advice would be great. Thanks

Fuel left is often not accurate, it maybe based on the previous journey. If they drove 200 feet upto a gate then left the engine running whilst they unlocked the gate and again whilst they relocked it then the average and distance left will plummet. I covered over 100 miles and the range was more than when I started because my journey up teh motorway used less fuel than my normal stop/start journeys.

Most cars these days have anti syphon traps in them.

How do you know their storage is 10 miles away? They make have several sites and the closer one was full, or they used your car for their shopping?

Lots of people have issues with airport parking, lots dont read reviews before they buy and lots make accusations that may or may not be true.

Can you prove they stole fuel? Can you prove they did 70 miles in it? Can you prove they damaged the wheels?

If you think you can they take them to court.

Absolutely right. Send them a LBA and see if they respond, but if you don't have proper evidence, any court action is likely to fail.

No I know they aren't accurate but the gauge was on half a tank full when dropped off and near on empty on collection, unfortunately the picture of the mileage clock my partner took when he dropped it off doesn't show the fuel gauge.

My partner asked the person who dropped it off when he saw the difference in the milage, he said they had a car park 2 miles away and one 5 miles away.

I'm pretty sure we don't have enough evidence for court, the pictures clearly show fresh damage to the alloys and anyone with common sense can see that but we do not have pictures of them when they were dropped off. They have not carried out the actions they have stated in their own T&C's and do not answer the phone or emails. Surely there must be somewhere else we can go to complain, are these companies not regulated at all??

What about if we got in touch with Looking4Parking?

If they haven't delivered the service you paid for, set that out in the LBA with evidence and state what you are looking to achieve, e.g. a partial refund. Don't claim for things for which you have no evidence.

Sadly, having booked with what many people would agree are questionable companies (you're happy to hand over an expensive asset for a period of time rather than spending a few quid more to park in an official car park), I wouldn't hold out hope that complaining to the company or their booking agent will achieve anything. They're not short of people trying to scrimp on parking and who book before doing research.

Sorry. can't post links, just add www.

Seems a lot of people aren't happy with this company.
Just four days before they flew out, the airport terminated Just Park and Fly's licence to trade from the airport because of 'ongoing complaints from customers'.

So the guy that took it parked it 30 miles away, then the day before you returned they moved it 30 miles back to the closer parking spot where there is less space so used for cars being returned the next day?

The guy that handed the car back only drives from the local spot and may not know where the other storage is?

You need facts, no good making assumptions.

OK if you have a shed of a car but if its your pride and joy is the saving worth it?

Probably been thrashed to within an inch of its life and curbed in the process. But you've got no evidence of that and will never prove it.

How can you thrash a car and restrict it at the same time?

Restrict?????? Where does it say that?

They just drive them like a PCP car that they know is going back- well actually like a PCP car that is going back and they don't have to pay for any damage to ;)
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
