Warning furious rant alert coming feel free to skip
So Morrisons due at 2-3 cue 3 phone calls ...he's not coming you said 2 I cant sit around all day No I didn't and he arrived in slot at 10 to 3 plus her day consisted of watching tv and looking out the window. Mine of course could be interrupted no problem.
Then this... cue me did you get all you needed......no it was a shambles....he just dumped the bags in the hall and went.....and I didnt ask for 6 bananas (yes bananagate rears its ugly head again) What the h**l will I do with 6 bananas....tempting to tell her my view on that one but resisted. She normally orders 4 of the large ones and theses were a bag of 6small. I dont want 2 cheesecakes (eh she buys 2 every week) theres so much I dont know what I'll do with it all. Point of order it was exactly the same as every week and they made no subs. So furious with her and told her. Right now I am tempted to tell her the many uses of banana and never go back
Sad that she cant once say thank you or recognise what she should and shouldn't say
Thats after a morning of going through all the POA docs too so another paid day lost
I had hoped that she was learning how not to be so rude but too much to expect. Sorry for the rant it will be wine time in my house very soon and hope everyone else is having more fun0 -
Afternoon all. Happy Birthday Silver Oldie.
Went to knitting group this morning. Nice to get out. Then we had our Tosco order delivered. I know how to live!
Lunch and a bit more knitting snd tea drinking this afternoon. I will then be trying a new recipe potato and aubergine curry so fingers crossed
I see WASPI are having a judicial review of the pension arrangements for those of us botn in the 50's. I would love to get my state pension but I have to wait until I am 66 boo! Happily DH can support me.
Well have a good afternoon all. Hugs and spoons all round.

Nelski - breathing!!!! Fix your mind on James Martin and away from the rudeness. :rotfl:
Gintot - yes. My SP starts in one month which is five years and six months after my 60th birthday. I have an occupational pension which kicked in at 60 so things have been OK, others not so much. There's a long thread running in the pensions board with one very stupid woman spouting such offensive nonsense that I couldn't stop myself from wading in. Normally I avoid confrontation in real life and am not keen on keyboard warriors but this one was being so horrible I couldn't resist. :rotfl::rotfl:
I need to remember 'Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience'.0 -
Afternoon all
Silver Oldie happy birthday :bdaycake:. I'm sorry to be late, but I hope you've had a splendid day.
We took Dad to Trago Mills today and I was going to have a rant, but suffice it to say we won't be going there again with him for quite a while  He moaned that they didn't have enough stock of something he didn't even want and about the price of delivery too. (And there's me thinking how nice he had been lately.) Anyway we dropped Dad off and we're back home, having calmed down a bit with coffee and chocs.
As we had lunch out.....eventually ( that's another story  ) tea tonight will be leftover birthday cake and strawberries and cream :j. To heck with the diet todayand I'm now going to have a lie down in a darkened room :rotfl:.
Nelski It must be the day for "awkward" parents. Get the charabanc fired up !! Now where's the nearest cliff edge ? Lots of love and hugs coming your way and please save me a glass or two of Prosecco .
Dumpling I hope you got the nurse to come out and help with the pain in your leg. Hugs
Mehefin sorry to read that you and your mare are poorly. I hope you both get better soon.
taff sorry to read about your Dad. I hope his fall is not too bad and he makes a swift recovery.
Gintot, Snoozer and Gers I missed the cut off date for the SP at 60, by 2 months. I now have to wait till I'm 66 too  ......... the same age as others who are a lot younger. Luckily I also have an Occ pension which I got at 60 and that has kept me going.
Hugs to all today.
nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
Gers You are so right about the moneypit that are animals. But they are part of our family and I always take the view that if you have them you must do the best by them whatever it costs, Saying that I am dreading the next vets bill!!
Incidentally my late Dad went in to Normandy on D+2 setting up airfields for photo reconnaissance units. He was seconded to the RCAF for the duration of the invasion and ended up in Sylt right up in the north. He had an "interesting" war but my mother would never let him talk about it. I picked up bits and pieces over the years , and a lot more after DM passed away. He would have been so proud today and I have a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye as I type this.
God speed
Mehefin0
