Good morning

Slept really well this morning again seems my brain is allowing me to relax once I get some worrying stuff on its way with some plans.
I was up and out to Asda by 7 and it has to be said it was a pleasure to get my favourite parking spot and be one of about 3 in the mega store. I even got my prescription which was a surprise that early.
Not to talk too much about politics but I watched the Trump/Piers interview and found my mind changing somewhat about both of them surprisingly impressive from my stance of real dislike.
So today is cracking on with the paper jobs including digging out all all the mountains associated with mums Power of Attorney. Thanks Gers I will be in touch
Overseeing a new guy in my volunteer job tonight but I think he will be fine.
Food will be finally the chilli (aka something brown and in a ziploc) I am confident this time as I took it out last night its defo chilli
picky eating for the rest of the day as and when
SO hope you have a memorable birthday if only for the quantity of cake consumed with hot chocolate:) of course
Enjoy your weds all0 -
Good morning everyone :hello:
Happy Birthday silver-oldie :bdaycake: hope you have a lovely lunch out xxx
Well the rain has gone for now and we have a lovely sunny day here today. Steve and Phoebe left for work very early and Lee is keeping me company for a bit until he has to go and get ready for college. Lilly is still in bed and I don't expect to see her before lunch time.
Burgers are on the menu for tonight so that will be a popular choice in this house. Yesterday's dinner was delicious and there were empty plates all round apart from Lilly who decided she would rather have a cheese pizza
. She is getting fussier than ever the older she gets. I won't get stressed over it though, she is 18 and can sort out her own dinners even if they are rubbish.
I didn't get much sleep last night so another nana nap is on the cards. I will ring the nurses again though as no one came out to me again and I am in so much pain with my legs. Hopefully, someone can come out to me and dress them properly today.
Hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx0 -
SO happy birthday.
Nelski, I found it really easy to register the POA for mum with the various banks and utility companies etc.
It seems that there's to be a judicial review on the raising of women's pensionable age. I do think that those who were to turn sixty soon after they raised the age limit got a raw deal, why on earth didn't they phase it in instead of raising it to 65 in one fell swoop.
We managed to get a bit more work in on the garden in between rain showers and hopefully will be able to do a bit more today. I say we but I'm a bit more of a cheerleading section because of my dratted sore shoulder. The good news is that Steve is feeling really well and today is the day in his cycle when he usually has a bad day so we're pleased about that.0 -
SO Happy Birthday Hope you have a great day, and belated Happy Birthday to nanny as well.
Weather not very bright at the moment weatherwise, just got to drop DGS Jack off at his part time job shortly. No shopping to buy today so probably have a bit of a pottering around today

Happy birthday SO. Work this morning then chores this afternoon. Looking forward to left over home made veggie curry for dinner. I've got washing on the line since yesterday as it poured with rain and the washing ended up wetter than when it started. Weather looks ok at the moment so fingers crossed it will dry. I expect a washing powder branding expert would say that it's been "drenched with freshly fallen pure raindrops and enveloped with dawn dew" and charge me a premium price for it!0

Morning! Mowed the lawn yesterday which was the sum of my achievements, visiting a friend who's really not well today.
Father had a fall yesterday, I think a combination of not enough food, anger at the postman and just not thinking...WIll be going home next week to check upon him, they don't want me to drive there, I do. I will win. Sister still doing a sterling job, don't know if they're downplaying it, will see how he is today, might change plans...
Gneral household stuff today, along with a potter or two...
Happy Birthday SO!! Yes, go out and enjoy not cleaning up! And hugs AOD...
Worried Wednesday...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -

Morning folks - another dull and dreary day I fear!
SO - happy birthday. :bdaycake: I know that the weather won't put a dampner on your day, I hope you have lots of cake.
DM's visitor was lovely yesterday and very reassuring to me. He cared for his long term partner until death and is now training to be a paramedic. DM loves to chat and he loves to listen.
This afternoon the rehab nurse is coming to visit. I have to go out beforehand for provisions - got DM to eat up the last of her herring last night, it's been lingering for too long even though not past it's UBD. I think I'll make a lamb casserole and leek soup.
taff - sorry to read about your Dad's fall, hope he recovers his confidence soon.
snoozer - I'm embroiled in a 'discussion' with a particularly idiotic poster about the pension thing on another board. Some people are too stupid to ignore!
Now I send out virtual hugs to those struggling and wish everyone a happy Wednesday.0 -
Morning all from a sunny but windy mehefinland
Gosh its all been happening whilst I've been mia. Happy burpdays to those I missed and get wells to the poorlies etc.
The bruisemare saga continues. She has got laminitis in both hind feet and is in a poor way. Had her xrayed and have now started to organise corrective shoeing etc. She is on maximum pain relief that she can have ( too much 'bute' can cause liver problems) so she is also on 24 paracetamol per day split into 2 lots . Pharmacist was really !!!!!! when I initially went in with a veterinary prescription for 2000 as it had been emailed to me. He had to have the original! Sorted now but stress I could have done without.
Thanks to those who have been asking - The back is still pretty poor - I did a good one this time , and ended up buying another support ( laughingly called my chastity belt). This one seems to be better.
The trouble is that anything to do with horses is heavy work, whether mucking out, doing water buckets or whatever so suspect its gonna be a long job.
Hugs and spoons as always

DM has been sitting watching the D-Day broadcast all morning. I was very surprised at her interest as she's German, when I asked if she was upset at what she was seeing she said that it was the best thing to happen, the alternative would have been much worse! My DDad was in the RE and landed on D-Day plus 6.
I've been shopping, bought diced lamb and the makings of leek and potato soup. Now I'm having a wee 'feet up' time. The new trainer socks which promised to be 'no slip' are not... so annoying to have half a sock under the arch of my foot. Must be me.
Mehefin - animals are such a worry and such a drain on the piggy bank, I hope that the horse is soon better.
Think I'll watch Good Omens this afternoon, I miss Lucifer now it's moved to Netflix. Yeh, first world moan. :rotfl:0
