My son's ESA appointment last year was twenty minutes late, but to be fair, we did see the people before us going in, because we were early. It's not always possible to say how long an appointment will last. My son's was only twenty minutes, as the assessor concentrated on a couple of descriptors that are in the support group list, and it's fairly obvious that his learning disability is severe. He has a number of disabilities, but she was clearly aware that he was likely to qualify for the support group (which he did). I think it must be more difficult for many others, as t is not always as clear cut.

When you go to the face to face assessment, expect to be waiting long after your allotted appointment time to see the 'doctor', all four i had they always claim to be running 30 to 45 minutes late - at least in my area anyway.
Lets be honest, how often does anyone go into any appointment on time? I'd say rarely. Each persons appointment times varies and that's not just for face to face assessments. It only takes a few people to go over the given and then other peoples times are affected.

It would be a very strange world if everything ran exactly to time.

If you've had the work capability assessment then wait a week and ring DWP to request a copy of the report to be sent to you. This will give you some idea what the decision is likely to be because they mostly go with the report. Of course you'll still need to wait for the decision but there's no timescales.

It would have been better to start your own thread with your question. Asking questions on other peoples threads causes confusion because people read the first post and answer that.

Based on that, it doesn't tell us anything. You need to see what the recommendations are in the back of the report. Limited capability for work (LCW) is WRAG and Limited capability for work related activity(LCWRA) is Support Group.

One of the descriptors is not being able to walk without stopping due to pain there’s nothing on the back of the report to say WRAG Or support group ?? 🙈
